How to finally start working out

Deep down we all know we should be exercising more. Some of us more than others. The first steps are being honest with yourself, committing to goals and writing those goals down.

Don’t sugarcoat your own thoughts. Understand where you are and what you need to do.

Determine your goals. Don’t overdo it at first, start out small. Mini milestones.

Writing your goals down

WRITE THEM DOWN. You have to do this part. Doing it on your iPhone notes app is ok, but try to go with physical paper. Or put a sticky note on your mirror with your goal every morning.

Start slowly, but consistently

Don’t try to workout six days a week right out the gate.

It’s refreshing, give it a try.

Eat Healthy

This is a given. But it’s important. Even if you don’t start working out right away, just getting some better food in your body is a great start.

Get a couple supplements

Get some multivitamins, some protein, some fish oil and so on. Not only is it beneficial, it will feel rewarding drinking that protein shake after a hard workout. It will feel good taking that vitamin and fish oil with breakfast in the morning.

In the end, just be realistic. For instance, most gyms aren’t open right now. Think about investing in some outdoor fitness equipment for example.
